Tag, you're it!

Tagging

I designed and made hang tags for the rag pets today.
I already had one tag design that I had used for the very first rag pets, but I thought it'd be time for a re-design, what with Plush You coming and all.
The new tags have the same talkative birdie that graces the header of this blog on the front and on the back there's the rag pet's name and a little bit about their story too. The old tags had a different bird on the front and just a "Thank you for adopting me" on the back and I thought it'd be nicer to have some information about the rag pet her- or himself there instead. I also used passer par tout card instead of Bristol board like I used to use. The card is thicker and it works well with pencil, and it has an altogether more organic feel to it, which is what I'm after with the rag pets in general too.

And yes, I do have a bright pink utility knife! I got it from my dad when I asked him to change the blade of my old knife, and got a whole new knife instead! :)

How does your craft area manage to look bustling and busy in an inspirational way and mine just looks messy?

I think the tags are a wonderful idea - people who would love your rag pets would definitely like a memento with a bit of their story on it. Maybe you could do actual "Certificates of Adoption" too?

I love the pink stanley knife! And the eyelet tool - tools like that are dangerous, because once you get started you look around wild-eyed for more things to put eyelets in!

Two Cheese Please

My secret is to cultivate organized chaos. My work room is a tip most of the time, but the area I'm working in is usually organized in it's own messy way so I have everything I need at hand and just enough work space to do what ever it is I'm doing. I'm also a fan of archeological filing, i.e. putting everything in piles and heaps, with the older stuff on the bottom and newer things on top.

I've been thinking of making adoption certificates, but so far it's just a thought still.

Nifty little tools really are dangerous. You get hooked on using them and then you end up with eyelets on everything! Although, I need to be sparing with my little eyelets; it's hard to find them this small (they're about 4-5 mm across) here.
