Merry Christmas!

This is the first time in so, so many years that we have a real Christmas tree. And I might be a little biased in saying this, but our tree is awesome! The tree itself is from J's parent's land and it was delivered here by J's sister last Sunday. It's very pretty and stands almost 2 meters tall! It also smells just like Christmas trees did when I was a kid and I even managed to find old fashioned electric candles for it. Yesterday I made the little plushie star for the top. Just looking at the tree makes me feel jolly. :)

I've had such a lovely December. I put up my Christmas lights on the 1^st and I've been listening to Christmas music all month, baked yummy gingerbread cookies & Christmas tarts and I've had a lot of fun puttering about with presents and decorations and things too. I think I even managed to infect some Christmas spirit into J. as well! He can be a tiny bit of a Grinch come yule time, but there's a lot of jolliness under all that too.

To top it all off, it snowed today! This made me even jollier, as we haven't had a white Christmas in such a long time. There isn't more than a dusting of snow on the ground, but it's still heaps better than the grey drabness we've been suffering through most of this winter.

What a lovely Christmas post. I love your Christmas star! The angel on the top of my tree doesn't quite go with my theme so you've given me an idea for next year... I should make my own! I too love the smell of a real tree, it really does make it feel more like Christmas. Have a lovely time and I look forward to reading more from Rag Pets in the New Year x
