Filmed in 1932, this creepy little movie features actual, famous sideshow freaks such as siamese twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, Prince Randian the human torso and Koo Koo the bird girl. Freaks is a story about betrayal and revenge and taking care of your friends, and it's all set in the weird and wonderful world of a sideshow circus.
I have a big soft spot for circus freaks and sideshow acts, so "Freaks" is one of my favourite scary movies, even though it's not really very scary, but more, umh, creepy and a little bit disturbing.
I'm also partial to the Nightmare on Elmstreet series, and Ghostbusters, even though the latter is more funny than scary. Oh, and the Evil Dead series is brilliant too, and I like vampire and ghost movies loads as well. For me, scary movies are a great way to celebrate Halloween. :)
And of course, every good movie deserves popcorn, so here's a recipe a friend of mine shared for yummy caramel corn:

I hope you are all having a horribly wonderful Halloween! :)
