It's Giveaway Day again!
This is Flakey the rag-snowflake. He's an unique little snowflake at about 22 cm tall.
Flakey made out of soft snowy white flannel and his nose is appliqued stripy blue cotton. He has little button eyes and he's wearing snuggly cotton gingham pyjamas with mother-of-pearl buttons on the back.
Flakey is filled with rags and wool.

Since going to bed early makes Santa come quicker, Flakey has donned his PJs and is going to sleep now in order to make the presents come faster!
To celebrate the spirit of Christmas and the joy of giving I'm taking part in Giveaway Day, and thus I'm giving Flakey the rag-snowflake away to one lucky person who leaves a comment on what they enjoy most about Christmas here on this entry between today and the 6th of December (that's our Independence Day here in Finland!). Every commenter will be assigned a number, with the first person to comment being number 1 and the second commenter would be number 2 and so forth, and then on the 6th, I'll randomly draw a number to see who Flakey will be going home to (I'm happy to ship internationally, so it doesn't matter where you live).
Check out the whole long, long, long list of other wonderful crafters participating in Giveaway Day, too, they're all listed at the Sew Mama Sew-blog!
The best thing about Christmas for me is the decorations, I put up my Christmas lights up yesterday while listening to Christmas songs and I'm really looking forward to getting a real Christmas tree to decorate again. I buy a few new Christmas tree decorations every year, with most of them being bird-related in some way.
I do like Christmas music a lot too, and I tend to listen to it pretty much every day come December. Oh, and Christmas food! I love Christmas food! Joulutortut (Christmas tarts) and glögi (mulled wine) and porkkanalaatikko (carrot casserole) are at the top of my list of things I want to eat at Christmas. :)
Added on the 6th of December:
Commenting is closed now, and a winner has been picked. Thank you so much to everyone who commented, you've made this a super giveaway!

My favorite thing about Christmas is also the decorations! I love driving around and looking at all of the lights and trees in windows.

I LOVE Christmas carols! You can often find them on my ipod well into February (until my husband gets mad that they keep coming up on the shuffle play feature and makes me take them off!)

I love you little snowflake! Such a cute little thing! What I like best about Christmas is seeing the looks on my kids faces. They are really young (2 & 3) and they are full of awe and excitement over the decorations and the presents. (Who doesn't like getting a new toy?) Thanks for doing a giveaway! sales4mp@gmail.com

Is it wrong that one of my favorite things about xmas is just the time I get off school and work? Granted, I love the time because it allows me to do all the other stuff, like visit with family, bake, craft, etc. Just spending time with and sharing with family is my favorite.

Oh My is Flake a cutie!
My favorite thing about Christmas is wearing pajamas for the whole day! It makes unwrapping packages sooooo much easier for some reason!
Blessings!

He's so adorable! Such lovely pyjamas too :) I sure Father Christmas wouldn't mind giving him a ride over here to New Zealand on his sleigh if I should get so lucky :) I love Christmas too, it makes me feel a bit like a child again, with all the familiar traditions and the focus on family. It's even better now I have a child of my own!

My favourite thing about Christmas is: when the tree has just been trimmed and it's still looking lovely, I like to lie underneth it and look up through the branches at the lights. Does that sound weird? Probably, but I don't care :P

What I love most is the excuse to make something for my friends and family. It can get a bit overwhelming crafting and crafting and sewing and crafting, but it's totally worth it! Sweet snowflake!

Wow. Flakey's awesome!
I really like all the getting ready for Christmas. I love figuring out gifts for everyone, baking hundreds of cookies, wrapping all the gifts, listening to Christmas carols. There's just such a great sense of anticipation to all of it.
Happy (early) Independence Day!

What do I like best? Decorating the tree! It was always one of my favorite parts when I was a kid. I remember my dad lifting me up to reach the high spots and my sister and I getting decorated in tinsel before we put it on the tree. I'm sure all those sweet memories is part of why I love it so much now too.
What fun snowflakes. Oh your girls ones are so sweet!

What an adorable little critter! I love sitting in front of the tree with my family with the yule log program on TV and waiting for the dog to walk across the screen. We drink eggnog and spend a lazy, lovely evening being together.

The best part about Christmas was helping my brother pick out a surprise Christmas tree for his girlfriend. Then, while he was cooking dinner for us, me and my little sister decorated the tree with green and gold bulbs and fairylights. We don't usually get along very well, my siblings and me, but we all love my brothers girlfriend very much. And when she got home from work, she was so happy to see how much time and thought we put into this surprise. Then, after dinner and washing up, we all lay under the Christmas tree to watch the lights.
This was last year, this year will be even better because my brother and his girlfriend have a baby now. It'll be a chore to squeeze all five of us under the tree to watch the lights, but I think we'll manage. This'll be the first Christmas for Jade. I'm looking forward to it.

My favorite thing about Christmas is hunting down just the right gift for all the people on my list. This year its a little different because I am making homemade gifts for everyone. But that too has been a lot of fun. Trying to figure out the perfect gift to make for each person.

Oh, I love the food. The cookies and the yummy smells they produce while being baked. Most of all the warm kitchen they create for everyone to gather and enjoy.
