Merry Christmas!

I know I usually make my Christmas post during Christmas Eve, but this year I was struck down by a nasty Christmas cold just a few days earlier, so I've been a bit under the weather and haven't felt up to cobbling together a post until today, Christmas Day. And unlike previous years, this year I wasn't looking forward to Christmas quite as eagerly, because I am much, much, much more looking forward to the 7th of January, which is when I go to Japan. That doesn't mean that this holiday season hasn't been joyfully anticipated and absolutely lovely, though! We've gotten so much snow that absolutely everywhere looks like a magical winter wonderland and having suffered through an awful, drab, grey Christmas last year, having all this snow now is indescribably wonderful. And our tree is huge, and hugely gorgeous this year (I've photos of it in my Flickr, here), and all the yummy Christmas foods and treats have been plentiful. I managed to watch a lot of my favourite Christmas movies too, which was really nice, even if it was mostly because I was sick and stuck in bed.

My Christmas has been really lovely and I hope you've all had a very merry Christmas as well and that it will continue to be so for you!
